Empowering Lives Through “The Gentle Art”
Renzo Gracie Clarksville was founded October 1, 2011 by Professor Brian Marvin as Clarksville Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy (CBJJA). The first classes were successful, but due to his military obligations Professor Marvin had to leave the area. In June of 2012 he turned the classes over to his students and Professor James Hoskins, our owner and program director.
Since 2011 we have trained both military and civilian men, women, and children in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Boxing and Circuit Fitness was added to our class offerings in 2021. In Fall 2022 we expanded our training facility to include judo, wrestling, and muay thai.
Because Renzo Gracie Clarksville serves a diverse military and civilian population, it has adopted a sense of community towards training. Our school works with and respects many different organizations in order to enhance training and to cultivate the art of martial arts. We realize that everyone will have different goals when they decide to study martial arts and that is why we help each individual student on their individual path.
Our goal is to help our students meet their goals by providing expert instruction and a safe, clean, and positive training environment regardless of age, gender, or degree of athleticism. Our skilled and knowledgeable instructors will help you achieve your goals in a fun, safe, and professional environment.
Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a teacher, a soldier, or just want to get in better shape in a safe and fun environment, we have something for you. We believe that through Jiu-Jitsu our students will gain the confidence and skills to achieve their highest level of health and wellness in all areas of life. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary…so don’t miss out!
