Developed from Japanese jujutsu—a the martial art form used by elite warriors known as the samurai—Judo is an unarmed martial art consisting of throws and sweeps. The main objective of a judoka is to use the opponent’s strength against them and to force the opponent to tap out.
While Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is often referred to as “the gentle art,” judo is known as “the art of living.” Such terms as politeness, courage, perseverance, concentration, sincerity, honor, modesty, respect, self-control, and friendship are all part of the judo moral code of conduct and which are also necessary key fundamentals in our day to day life.
30 minute classes for ages 3 to 5 held Mon.-Thurs. at 5:00 PM. Students must be fully potty-trained.
60 minute classes for ages 6 to 9 held Monday & Wednesday at 6:00 PM. No previous experience necessary.
60 minute classes for ages 10 to 15 held Tuesday & Thursday at 5:00 PM.
Ages 16 & up. Classes are designed to be appropriate for all-levels. Monday & Wednesday at 7:00 PM, and Thursday at 6:30 PM
