Renzo Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Clarksville proudly announces their upcoming Anti-Bullying Camp from October 14 to 18.
Open to all school-aged children, this camp with provide them with tools to defend themselves, deflect bullies, and deescalate threats all the while strengthening their self-confidence.
Parents are invited to enroll their children in course, which is open to the public where their child will learn how to use verbal assertiveness to deter bullies and non-violent self-defense techniques to stay safe if physically assaulted. Most importantly, rather teaching how to punch or kick–this often does more harm than good–students will be instructed on how to use leverage-based control holds to neutralize threats without violence. The ultimate goal is to prepare children to defend themselves against bullies without turning them into one.
Each session will consist of instruction and group activities. Parents are welcome to stay and observe or may drop off their child for the duration of the class time.
Following completion of the program, each child will receive a certificate of completion, a two-week guest membership in the Renzo Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Youth program, and an enrollment waiver (a $150 value) to use should parent choose to enroll their child or their family.
