Renzo Gracie Clarksville is proud to announce that one of its dedicated students, Miyon Alkubechy, will be competing at the USA Judo Junior Olympics. As Miyon prepares to showcase his skills on a national stage, we invite everyone to join us in wishing him the best of luck.
Miyon began his journey in martial arts at the young age of 7. Over the past five years, he has immersed himself in the disciplines of judo, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu, earning remarkable accolades along the way. Now 12 years old, Miyon holds a green belt in judo and a gray belt in jiu-jitsu, demonstrating his dedication and proficiency in these challenging sports.
Miyon has been training at Renzo Gracie Clarksville for the past two years, honing his skills under the guidance of experienced coaches. His hard work and commitment have resulted in an impressive list of achievements, including:
- 4-time Tennessee State Judo Champion
- 2024 Tennessee AAU State Wrestling Champion
- 2024 Middle School State Champion
- 2024 State Wrestling Champion
- 2024 Runner-up at Folkstyle Nationals
Tomorrow, Miyon will compete in the USA Judo Junior Olympics, a prestigious event that gathers the best young judo athletes from across the country. Additionally, Miyon is set to participate in the USA Judo US Open at the end of July, further showcasing his talent and determination on a national platform.
